Subject	Driveshaft? Steering rack?

Message	My steering rack is shot and needs replacement, but I was wondering if this noise was related or a different issue. Loud whirring sound is most prominent when letting off throttle at highway speeds in 5th gear. When accelerating in 5th at 60, no noise- let off on throttle- loud whirring sound from underneath. Please advise possibilities. Thanks, Mike.
